I was really happy when I first saw that my site got rank 3 in Google PageRank Algorithm. Being the skeptic that I am, I double-checked it thinking it must have been some kind of an Add-on bug. I run through Pagerank checker Websites and all confirmed it was PageRank 3. I tested it with 10 Google Data Centers and I got this result :
My doubt streams from the fact that I launched this site just three months ago. I have the slightest belief that Google Sandbox Algorithm does exist. I didn't really expect I could have this Pagerank in 3 months. Here are the few things I did for this site:
1. Inserted Google Analytics Code
There could be no easier way to ping Google that you have recently updated your site but to use its own code to track changes of your site. It acts as your direct link to Google for them to notice something new about your site.
2. Created an Organic Link from Frequently Crawled Sites
Aside from Google Analytics, I also submitted articles to ezines with backlinks pointing to my site. In this way, I could increase the chance that my site will be noticed by Google. If that article page will be crawled by Google, then so will my site be.
3. Regular Posting
This is really serious. I can't last a week without posting any blog entry. If I can't write something good about SEO yet, then I resort to writing sorts of topics that I like. But almost all of my blog entries here are SEO Web design - related.
4. Decided a Page Topic Specialization
I really didn't have an idea in mind that I would concentrate more on writing about SEO Web design when I launched this site. The URL is a proof, you cannot find S-E-O letter combination in it. I really just wanted to write about anything. But then I woke up one day wanting to give an identity to my site. Thus, I titled it with "SEO Web Design".
5. Reformatted the Content
You may have had noticed my tone of writing and content organization. I usually start with a simple overview about the topic in 3-4 sentences. Then I insert image after paragraph text. My middle paragraphs usually illustrates applications of the topic and introduction to the specific details of the topic. Finally, I end up giving litany of ordered or unordered list of details/procedures/classifications about the topic.
P.S. I don't post below 250 words and more than 600 words.
