Tips in Writing SEO-Friendly Content

SEO-Friendly ContentContent is where search engines look for the information about the particular search key a surfer placed in the search space. Search engines tend to be academically-biased. A single line of concrete knowledge or figures can be greater than a thousand sugar-coated words about a particular keyword.
In search engine optimization ( SEO ), there may not be a rule of thumb in writing content. The chances, however, of having your page found in search engine results pages ( SERP’s ) can be magnified as you master emulating the contents of those pages that ranked on top. Here are some few tips found from the contents of top-ranking pages on their respective topic niche:
  1. Conceptualize a content structure. Plan out what should be the theme of you content. Will it be trivializing, explaining, giving instructions, or persuading to purchase. Of course it must support the purpose of the page.

  2. Gather information about the keyword. Research intensively on facts and figures. This makes your content look credible. Site famous third party sources to verify your claims. List down all key ideas and recent developments about the keywords.

  3. Use Latent Semantic Indexing ( LSI ) to obtain related words to your keyword(s). There are a number of tools for LSI available online. You can also use Google Adwords Keywords Suggestion Tool as reference. It's by Google made for Google. Avoid being redundant by dropping the root word or expansion of your keyword whenever possible. Include those entirely different but closely related words.

  4. Calculate the keyword density by dividing keyword occurrence within the content divided by total number of words of the content. Keyword-stuffing is a great no-no. Google loves no more than 2% keyword density. Practice writing content within the range of 1.7-2% keyword density. Do not write lengthy contents that will only dilute your target keywords. Do not make it also shorter than 250 words.

  5. Layout your keywords. It is advisable that your keywords are evenly distributed across the content. Ideally, place the keyword within the first 50 words and the last 50 words of the content. You can distribute your keywords first before writing and add up some word to describe them in spaces in between. Try to study top-ranked contents within your topic niche on the way they layout their keywords.
Remember that writing content is a one-time job. Regardless how much effort you exert on link-building your site if the content is poor, then, your efforts will be utterly useless. So take time composing that SEO-sound content of your site's SEO Web Design.
